Lotta Stensson – Dresses and Beach Wear

As I am watching snowflakes fall in late March, I am daydreaming about Spring and Summer. I especially cannot wait for the Beach, as our family loves to spend as much time as possible near the water when it is warm. Knowing that I will be having a baby end of May, I am especially conscious of what types of beachwear I am going to feel comfortable wearing. And, I can say that if it means wearing a Lotta Stensson Kaftan, then I can’t wait! These dresses are Bohemian, chic and just ultra-feminine! I only chose a few of her pieces for this post, but she has a lot to choose from. Whether you purchase something for the beach or to head out to dinner, these garments are a must have this summer!

Canada Goose

It’s snowing! Not quite time to put away the big, warm coats just yet. My new favorite cold weather gear comes from Canada Goose. They are so, super warm and cozy. I love the furry hood and cozy elastic around the sleeves.

Who knows snow gear better than Candadians? Each coat is handcrafted in the country which was founded over 50 years ago and has become the leading name in extreme weather gear.

Cool fact…Canada Goose uses coyote fur around the collars and hoods because it never freezes, doesn’t hold water and the uneven hair lengths create a windbreak that protects exposed skin, helping to reduce heat loss from the face. Cool!

Because it’s the end of the snowy season you can find Canada Goose coats on sale. That’s good news because we’ll probably have snow on the ground until May around here!

Lanai Caftan: Tory Burch

I”m starting to think about Spring Break. All of us need new Spring clothes. This little number from Tory Burch is probably the least necessary on my list but I keep coming back to it. I love the wild flowers, the navy and poppy and the super breezy bohemian vibe. Adore this over a bikini for the pool or barefoot and over white jeans for cocktails.

I think I need it, don’t you?

How darling are these clutches and portfolios? I love them. Super simple. Scalloped edges or clean lines I want them all. Great price points. Perfect for work for papers and mags or to hold keys, lipstick and credit cards for racing out for cocktails or dinner. I adore the combo of sturdy leather with a little hand inked gold at the bottom.

Sister and sisters in law…you might just find one of these under the tree this year.

Bobbi Brown. Uber Beige.

Love Bobbi Brown Uber Beige lipstick. My mom picked it out for me at the Bobbi Brown counter last winter. Great choice, Mom! I love it for everyday. It has just the right amount of color but not too much. So, it’s great to keep in my car to zip around the lips before racing off to school or play.

Uber Beige was a limited edition color that Bobbi Brown just re-released due to popular demand. Grab it while you can!

Clark’s Wallabee’s

So… they really don’t look super chic in this picture. But check them out in the pictures below. So cute, right?! A favorite of both of my brother’s in the 1970′s Clark’s Wallabees have been around since 1825. They looked super cool on 70′s guys in faded jeans and flannel shirts but they also look pretty chic on girls too.

I tried a pair recently and they were SO comfy. I can’t stop thinking about them. Could be tricky though…

Hadleigh’s Bespoke Slippers

Slippers are definitely the shoe craze and how cute are these from Hadleigh’s - a Bespoke clothing boutique started by husband and wife team Ed and Gable Shaikn that, prior to moving to Dallas’ Highland Park Village shopping center, was completely sold and run through the pool cabana at the couple’s home. We are loving the gray colors and think that a pair of these timeless, customizable slippers are perfect for Fall. Best part, they make these beautiful shoes for Men and Children. (For those of you not in the Dallas area, the slippers are now sold online at department stores like, Neimans and Bergdorfs).
