Crazy About Given Campbell

Given Campbell Wallpaper makes me so happy. The clean geometrics, the fresh colors, the crisp symmetry. I love them all. For a powder room, entry, child’s room… I could fill a whole house with Given Campbell.

The company has an inspiring story too – a great entrepreneural success. Check it out here.

Summer Shandy

Summer Shandy is one of our favorite Summer Beers.  About Shandy: An adventurous blend of select malted wheat and barley, lemonade flavor and a hint of Wisconsin honey, Summer Shandy is available nationwide in cans, bottles and on draft.  Leinie’s Summer Shandy, the first shandy-style brew in the United States, experienced an impressive 80 percent growth in 2011. When autumn rolled around, many Shandy fanatics stocked up on as much as they could for the off-season. Since then, Leinie fans have anxiously awaited its return.

Just make sure that you have these and you are all set.

Cool off with the Zoku Pop Maker

We love Zoku Pop Makers. Did you know that Zoku uses the same method as gel-filled countertop ice-cream makers to produce a single ice pop in about 10 minutes. 10 minutes!

Look how refreshing – and beautiful they look. Such a fun thing to serve for a dessert at a warm weather dinner party. We love to give the Zoku Pop Maker for a summer hostess gift.

Wine with a Heart – Guest Post by Jane Duncan

Our friend Jane just returned from a weekend in Napa Valley. Jane has great taste so of course we asked her to pick a couple of her favorite finds to share with you. Here is what she had to say about one of her favorite vineyards:

AS IF YOU NEEDED ANOTHER REASON TO POUR A GLASS OF WINE…

Ehlers Estate produces world class wines with heart. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of their wines goes to support the Leducq Foundation, a highly regarded, not-for-profit foundation dedicated to funding international cardiovascular research. Ehlers Estate is the perfect blend of quality and conscience. They’re recognized for their Cabernet Sauvignon 1886, but if you like big reds try the Cabernet Franc.

For more information about the vineyard or to order any wine, click here.

Come back this afternoon for another one of Jane’s favorites…

Kim Daisy, owner of Daisy Cakes, learned to bake watching her two loving grandmothers, Miss Nellie & Miss Nervilee and her great aunt Daisy.  Kim’s delicious Daisy Cakes are all hand made and iced and can be shipped direct from her kitchen to your front door.  The only problem – which one to choose?  Check out her beautiful and scrumptious cake choices below!

Carrot Cake  with Cream Cheese Frosting – No Nuts and 1b of Carrots in every cake!

Chocolate Cake –  Four layers filled with semi-sweet ganache and a chocolate fudge icing.

Coconut Cake – Four-layer coconut cake is dense and moist made with fresh coconut and coconut milk and a  light and fluffy butter icing so that it is light and fluffy sprinkled with coconut.

Red Velvet Cake – A Southern Favorite with traditional cream cheese frosting!

Lemon Cake – Made with hand zested lemons and Kim’s homemade lemon curd which is also incorporated in the cream cheese frosting.

Jilly Vanilly – the “Original” Daisy Cake. Four-layer yellow cake with chocolate icing.
